Google offers incentive to Start Ups at European Utility Week Google offers incentive to Start Ups at European Utility Week Smart Grid SHARE SGTR October 21, 2014 Google will offer the Start Up that wins the Initiate Award $100,000 worth of credits to build and host their solution on Google Cloud Platform, as well as architecture support to get started. The “Dragons Den” Style finale of the Initiate Start Up Award will take place on the Innovation Hub at European Utility Week between 14:00 and 17:00 on the 4th November. The innovation hub also hosts 24 start ups for the duration of the event. The Initiate awards will be hosted by Anton Wiggers, founding partner of the Themis Company and the “Dragons” who will decide who wins and receives the Google Cloud Platform credits are Matthew Feigal (Cloud Platform Solution Architect, Google Cloud Platform), Yme Bosma (Program Director Smart Energy, Rockstart Accelerator), Bart van der Werf (Founder, Innovation Booster) and Richard Youngman (Managing Director Europe & Asia, Cleantech Group).
